Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. It plays a significant role in the development of the Indian economy. India is one of the most popular travel destinations in Asia. Bounded by the Himalayan range to the north and surrounded by water on three sides (the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean), India offers a wide range of places to see astounding sites and enjoy entertainment. Charming sunsets, colorful mountains and landscapes make India a beautiful country. Historical monuments, fortresses and much more add to the grandeur of the country and attract many tourists from all over the world.

Tourism is the second largest source of foreign exchange earnings in India. The tourism industry employs a large number of people, both skilled and unskilled.
